High Cholesterol

High cholesterol means you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your blood. It's mainly caused by eating fatty food, not exercising enough, being overweight, smoking and drinking alcohol. High cholesterol itself usually has no symptoms, but it increases the risk of serious conditions such as heart attack and stroke. Diet changes and lifestyle improvements can significantly lower cholesterol levels.
